Socially Responsible Investing
Investors have the ability to promote the well-being of society and influence government. SRI is the refusal to invest in and purchase securities that are issued by organizations with a record of either 1) manufacture or sales of weapons, 2) questionable labor practices, and/or 3) poor environmental standards.
SRI ensures that invested funds are not used to violate society's most basic moral values and will direct our dollars to invest in businesses, markets and communities that contribute to an equitable and ecologically sustainable economy that fulfills society's needs as well as thrive in today's increasingly competitive and diverse global economy. When we collectively commit our investment dollars towards sustainable markets, we are welcoming positive change as well as putting ourselves in the position to meet the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs.
